AACSB publishes for comment draft 2026 global standards for business education and accounting

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International has released drafts of its inaugural Global Standards for Business Education and 2026 Accounting Accreditation Standards and is encouraging stakeholders to review them, it announced on 12/01/2026.

The drafts emphasise "mission-driven, outcome-focused quality," AACSB noted.

Main changes include:
• "executive education should include processes to ensure high quality/continuous improvement if it generates more than 5% of the school’s annual revenues (vs. resources)" for business education; and
• "greater emphasis on meaningful stakeholder input into curriculum management" for accounting accreditation standards.

The association said the new Global Standards for Business Education would "provide a globally recognised framework that any school can use to guide strategic development, strengthen performance and demonstrate impact to learners, employers and higher education stakeholders".
