Sommet Education appoints Spencer Coles as new Chief Executive Officer

Sommet Education, a network of hospitality management and culinary arts institutions with headquarters in Switzerland, has appointed Spencer Coles as its new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 16/02/2026, it announced on 14/01/2026.

"Coles brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience in private international higher education, with a focus on local and international markets, a strong record of driving institutional growth, developing academic portfolios, leading large-scale operations and overseeing major strategic initiatives," the organisation said.

He previously served as the CEO of the Mander Portman Woodward group of colleges, a British provider of A-level and university preparation since 2013.

"His outstanding experience in international education and strategic leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future leaders in hospitality," the Board of Directors declared.
