AACSB report shows business schools moving from AI experimentation to implementation

A report from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) shows how business schools are scaling AI from pilots to strategy. Released on 13/01/2026, the report is titled "A Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Business Education: Exemplars and Critical Themes for Successful Integration" and highlights institutional exemplars and effective practices.

The first edition of the report was published in July 2025, but AACSB states that "the January 2026 update captures a pivotal transition, from experimentation to implementation" as the pace of change has intensified. The report draws on evidence from 48 business schools across the AACSB network.

The AACSB report points out that:
• Schools have moved from strategy development to broad deployment of AI across teaching, learning and operations;
• AI literacy is increasingly viewed as a core competency for all business graduates rather than a niche specialisation;
• Institutions are investing in governance structures, platforms and support models that enable scale and sustainability;
