Skema Business School redesigns its PhD in Management to "respond to the evolution of the global market"

Skema Business School is reshaping its PhD in Management to "train future professors to the standards of the world’s leading business schools", it announced on 13/01/2026.

In an interview with News Tank, Zakaria Babutsidze, Director of Skema's PhD programme, on 21/01/2026, explained that the changes were made "to train students who are going to assume faculty positions in international business schools and universities in Europe and elsewhere".

The French business school, which ranked 16^th in the Financial Times’ 2025 European Business Schools Ranking, is aiming to improve its previous performance: "We had multiple graduates who were placed in very good schools in France and internationally, but those were not the whole class. That is why we redesigned the programme. This fits better and provides better support, which allows our students to reap the full benefits of their mental and cognitive abilities," Babutsidze said.
