The European Commission is providing €404.3 million for the 2025 edition of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships, it announced on 09/02/2026.

"This initiative will empower 1,610 postdoctoral researchers, selected from 17,066 international applicants, to develop their own projects, while receiving high-quality training, international mobility opportunities and expert supervision at academic and non-academic institutions," the Commission said.

In 2024, the Commission awarded €417m to 1,696 postdoctoral researchers.

The selected fellows are from nearly 80 nationalities and will carry out their research projects in 45 countries in Europe and beyond, in universities, research centres, public institutions, private organisations and small and medium-sized enterprises. Their projects span all scientific disciplines, with the strongest representation being in social sciences and humanities, life sciences and engineering.

"This development reinforces Europe's reputation as a hub for scientific excellence, openness and innovation," according to the Commission.
