ESSEC Business School opens hub in Mumbai and deepens partnerships with Indian institutions

French business school ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) is opening a hub in Mumbai to "develop a strong institutional presence in India, boost international development, establish local partnerships and enhance student recruitment and mobility", it announced on 18/02/2026.

The ESSEC hub aims to "build deeper ties with Indian higher education institutions, corporate partners, and its robust alumni network. While serving as ESSEC’s strategic base, the Hub will be the catalyst for ESSEC’s ambitious academic roadmap in the region".

The school is also enhancing its partnerships with Indian institutions through joint degrees: it is in the process of establishing a double degree programme where students are awarded an ESSEC Master in Management and an Indian Institute of Management Bangalore MBA degree. ESSEC is also enhancing student mobility initiatives and strengthening exchanges with the Indian School of Business.
