Eight universities join EUA as full or associate members

The European University Association (EUA) has added six new universities as full members.

The six that were approved by the EUA’s Council on 30/01/2026 are:
• Università Bocconi, Italy;
• Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies;
• Śląski Uniwersytet Medyczny w Katowicach, Poland;
• UniDistance Suisse;
• Poltava State Agrarian University, Ukraine;
• State Tax University, Ukraine.

Full members are higher education institutions that conduct research, award degrees in at least two of the three study levels, and are financially viable.

The Council also approved two associate members, Haxhi Zeka University in Kosovo and Istanbul Atlas Üniversitesi in Türkiye. Associate members are financially sustainable higher education institutions that award degrees at the first and second cycle level, but do not meet the research criteria for full members, or organisations whose primary focus is research, but which also carry out some teaching.
