Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA has joined the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies (GCUS), the university announced on 24/03/2026.

The GCUS is an international academic plan that aims to unify all active initiatives aimed at fostering and sharing academically grounded knowledge about Ukraine, to create an effective platform for the coordination and development of these initiatives, and establish new partnerships between the Coalition member institutions, Ukrainian higher education institutions and other interested parties.

The partnership between Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA and GCUS comes as a response to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. The university aims to equip research and teaching to combat disinformation and produce informed knowledge on contemporary Ukrainian issues.

Joining the GCUS builds on the actions undertaken by Sciences Po Grenoble since last year. The university has hosted prominent Ukrainian figures such as a former political prisoner who returned from Russian prisons, as well as Mykola Tochytskyi, Ukrainian Ambassador to the Council of Europe.
