EUGLOH alliance welcomes Amsterdam as new member as 2026 presidency passes to Hamburg

The European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) will admit the University of Amsterdam (UvA) as a new full member from 2027 onwards, it announced on 25/03/2026.

"This expansion further strengthens the network and opens new opportunities for collaboration in research, education and innovation across Europe," said the alliance.

The Netherlands’ largest research-intensive university "broadens the alliance’s geographical reach and creates new opportunities for Amsterdam-based students and researchers to actively participate in EUGLOH’s collaborative initiatives".

UvA has been a full member of the EPICUR alliance since its establishment in 2019, but its participation will conclude at the end of the current funding phase, on 31/10/2026.

The alliance added that it had submitted its application for the two-year project extension (2027-2028) under the Erasmus+ 2026 Call for Proposals, and UvA’s membership was subject to the outcome of this application.
