President of engineering accreditation network says EUR-ACE label could shape a strong European degree

The EUR-ACE label for engineering degrees, created in 2000, could be the basis for a European degree in engineering and other fields, according to the head of a group of accreditation agencies for engineering.

José Carlos Quadrado, president of the Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), told News Tank on 18/09/2026: "ENAEE started working on how a European engineering degree could be recognised in 2000. We created the EUR-ACE label... It's working quite well. Now the label has gone beyond Europe. We believe it could be the basis for a very strong European degree in engineering and for other fields".
