Coimbra Group launches 2026 Scholarship Programme for early-career professors and researchers

The Coimbra Group has launched its 2026 Scholarship Programme for early-career professors and researchers for short research stays in Europe.

The programme offers 74 scholarships to young academics from the European neighbourhood (the EU's southern and eastern neighbours: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia in the South; and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine in the East), Africa and Latin America to support short-term research opportunities at one of the 21 participating Coimbra Group member universities in Europe.

The Coimbra Group was founded in 1985 and formally constituted by Charter in 1987. It is an association of 42 multidisciplinary European universities committed to creating academic and cultural ties to promote internationalisation, academic collaboration, excellence in learning and research, and service to society. This year marks the 26^th edition of the Scholarship Programme.
