The European Innovation Council (EIC) is seeking defence specialists in critical technologies, it said on 15/04/2026.

Selected experts will join a panel evaluating proposals for short-term assignments and determining which companies should receive EU equity investments to scale defence innovations.

The role requires expertise in areas such as air and missile defence, drones, cyber/AI/electronic warfare, military mobility and other defence domains, along with financial or venture capital experience and a valid Personal Security Clearance.

Selection will consider professional expertise as well as factors like gender balance and rotation.

The first evaluation panels for the EIC are planned for the end of 2026.
