EU provides €2.6 million to modernise vocational education institutions in Ukraine

The European Union has provided €2.6 million to modernise vocational education institutions in Ukraine.

The delegation of the EU to Ukraine said on 24/04/2026 that the modernisation of the Vinnytsia Vocational College of Services and the Vinnytsia Vocational College of Digital Technologies and Entrepreneurship has been completed, noting that the "total volume of investment [from the EU] exceeded €2.6m".

The funds were invested in major capital repairs and the thermal modernisation of training workshops, alongside the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment used directly in teaching. The two institutions have upgraded nearly 5,000 m² of fully accessible workshops and laboratories, equipped them with modern kitchen, IT, STEM and networking technologies, and established a new server room. Students now train as cooks, confectioners, hospitality specialists, software operators and electromechanics in environments designed to reflect the workplaces they will enter.
