EELISA alliance works towards third project phase and legal entity objectives

The European university alliance EELISA is working on strengthening the implementation and long-term sustainability of the alliance, intending to prepare for its third project phase, expected to start in 2027.

During EELISA's Governing Board Meetings in Madrid from 18-22/05/2026, the alliance worked on "reinforcing the commitment of Rectors, Presidents and Directors to support the institutionalisation of EELISA and its achievements, while also preparing a deeper level of institutional integration," the alliance said.

The Governing Board approved the new EELISA Sustainability and Financial Model, paving the way for the creation of the future EELISA legal entity, "whose formal structure will continue to be developed over the coming months", the alliance added.
