JRC launches 2026 call for expressions of interest for the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Programme

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched the 2026 call for expressions of interest for the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Programme (CDP).

Through the call, which was opened on 10/06/2026, the JRC is seeking to establish strategic scientific partnerships with universities, higher education institutions and research organisations that wish to organise PhD projects with their JRC counterparts. Through these collaborations, partner institutions will work closely with the JRC to jointly develop, host and supervise doctoral research projects.

Selected institutions will have the opportunity to build a long-term scientific collaboration with the JRC at the institutional level. Doctoral candidates participating in the CDP programme will spend between 12 and 24 months of their PhD at one of the JRC’s sites in Ispra, Petten, Geel, Karlsruhe, Brussels or Seville, with the remainder of their research conducted at the partner institution.
