Elena Hoffert elected Chair of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures

Elena Hoffert has been elected Chair of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).

ESFRI announced on 01/07/2026 that Hoffert will start her term of office in January 2027 for a duration of two years. She will succeed José Luis Martínez, advisor of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology for Large Infrastructures.

Hoffert is Senior Advisor for Research Infrastructures at the French Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Space. She completed the Cycle des hautes études européennes at the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in France and holds a PhD in Postmodern Culture from Technische Universität Dortmund (2003).
