Portuguese university achieves first EFMD programme accreditation; five universities get reaccreditation

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has awarded EFMD Programme Accreditation to the Portuguese university Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra for its Bachelor in Economics and Bachelor in Management programmes.

The organisation said on 28/07/2026 that this accreditation was "a benchmark for an internationally recognised, peer-reviewed programme".

It also congratulated five universities that obtained EFMD Programme re-Accreditation:

• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (China);
• Bachelor's Degree Programme in International Business at the School of Business, JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland);
