Commission publishes a charter to facilitate industrial access to research and technology infrastructures

The European Commission has presented a new access charter aimed at facilitating the use of research and technology infrastructure (R&T) by industrial companies.

The Commission published the Charter of Access on 28/07/2026. Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, invited research and technology infrastructures to endorse the charter.

“Innovative companies in Europe need cutting-edge infrastructures to develop and test ideas and bring their innovations to the market more quickly. This new guidance...is seeking to reinforce Europe’s research and technology infrastructures by creating better access conditions and tailored services for companies," she said.
