Seoul is top student city in QS 2027 Best Student Cities ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has named Seoul the top student city in its 2027 ‘Best Student Cities’ ranking, with the city retaining its first-place position.

QS published its ranking on 21/07/2026, keeping the top three from the 2026 edition unchanged, with Seoul followed by Tokyo and London.

Across all cities, Toulouse and Lyon, France, are the cities that have fallen the most in the 2027 edition compared to 2026: 18 and 17 places respectively. Conversely, Guangzhou, China, and Baku, Azerbaijan, are the cities that have risen the most in the rankings: +24 for the former and +22 for the latter.

The United Kingdom is the country with the most cities in this year’s ranking, with 15 cities featured. The United States is in second place with 13 cities ranked, followed by China (9) and Australia…
