EAIE 2026: Higher education sector gathers amid "growing interest in international cooperation"

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) has opened its annual conference with a call to "choose dialogue over avoidance, even when the conversations are difficult".

The EAIE 2026 conference takes place in Glasgow (UK) from 08 to 11/09/2026, gathering more than 7,000 participants from the higher education sector.

"The timing of us gathering here couldn't be better. Next year, the UK and Switzerland rejoin Erasmus+, reopening the door for study and staff exchange. Europe itself is looking to intensify education and research collaboration globally, and our partners from all continents have a growing interest in international cooperation," Mervin Bakker, EAIE Director, stated.
