EIC launched the first 20 Advanced Innovation Challenges pilot projects

The European Innovation Council (EIC) has announced that the first 20 Advanced Innovation Challenges pilot projects have started their work.

On 10/09/2026, the EIC said that 10 projects working on the challenge "Accelerating Physical AI" and 10 others working on "Translating Disruptive New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into Practice" launched their work on 01/09/2026.

Each project will receive funding of up to €300,000 for a period of up to nine months, during which time it will develop and validate its solution, benchmark its performance and demonstrate its ability to address the challenge, explained the EIC.
