Commission says EU Missions in Horizon Europe "are making steady progress towards their objectives"

The European Commission has said that "all Missions are making steady progress" towards their 2030 objectives.

The Commission published, on 14/09/2026, the mid-term assessment of the five EU Missions in Horizon Europe. "All Missions are making steady progress towards their objectives - with the Climate Adaptation Mission having already met and surpassed its 2030 targets," the Commission stated.

This mission aimed to support at least 150 European regions, local authorities and communities in becoming climate-resilient. It currently supports 292 regional and local authorities in their preparations for climate resilience, and 327 local authorities have signed the Mission’s Charter.
