EAIE 2026: UK participants and alliances go over new opportunities and goals of Erasmus+ association

The first year of the UK back in Erasmus+ will be marked by its goals of meeting expectations for mobility and engaging in the programme as much as possible, including by joining university alliances, according to participants gathered at the 2026 EAIE conference.

Taking place from 08 to 11/09/2026 in Glasgow (Scotland), the conference saw a lot of enthusiasm from the higher education sector to have the UK back in Erasmus+ in 2027.

"We need to think big and ambitiously about the UK's return and really make the most of this opportunity. Because although we're only associated for 2027, it is a multi-year project," Erika Boak, from the British Council, said.
