Commission and EIB launch a pact to offer investors "a single entry point to innovation financing"

The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group launched the European Institutional Investors Pact (EIIP) on 22/09/2026 at the TechEU Equity Summit in Luxembourg.

The EIIP is a new voluntary framework designed to channel more long-term institutional capital into the European technology and scale-up ecosystem. It aims to "provide European institutional investors a single, credible point of entry to innovation financing", Nadia Calviño, President of the EIB Group, said.

It comprises two components:

• Policy Dialogue Forum (led by the Commission): facilitates dialogue with institutional investors on regulatory developments and EU investment policies EIB;
• Investment Platform (led by the EIB): helps investors access investment opportunities within Europe’s venture…
