European Commission boosts 2026-2027 MSCA budget with an additional €210 million

The European Commission has announced that Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) will get a €210 million boost thanks to Choose Europe.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the MSCA, the Commission announced this additional financial support on 01/10/2026 to enable more than 700 researchers to pursue their careers in Europe through MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships and Doctoral Networks in 2026 and 2027.

Thanks to this increase of €210m, the budgets for the calls for proposals will reach:

• €434m for 2026 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships,
• €628m for 2026 MSCA Doctoral Networks,
• €459m for 2027 Postdoctoral Fellowships,
• €645m for 2027 Doctoral Networks.

The Commission stated that, based on current estimates, the 2027 Postdoctoral Fellowships call could support over 1,800 postdoctoral researchers…
