EIT selects 35 projects of consortia of higher education institutions to boost their innovation skills

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has selected 35 projects to receive funding aimed at helping higher education institutions (HEIs) across Europe translate research into real-world innovation, enhance entrepreneurship education and foster stronger collaboration with businesses.

On 08/07/2026, the EIT announced that it would distribute €70 million to 35 consortia, representing 552 organisations from 49 countries, including universities, businesses, research centres and public authorities. The projects will start in September 2026 and run for two years.
